Yiru Ji

Description

I am Yiru from China. I majored in Clinical Laboratory Technology. During my internships in a hospital clinical laboratory and an immunology laboratory, I became deeply interested in cell imaging. Currently, I am a PhD student in the MARI group, working on the role of protein named FUS in DNA repair mechanisms and specifically in the oxidative damage repair.

Outside the lab, I have been passionate about animation and games since childhood. Through years of exposure, I naturally learned Japanese and can communicate at a basic conversational level. I also enjoy crafting, especially building metal models and creating origami.
