Stepping outside the lab to reconnect as a team.
Today, we shared a canoe-kayak team building day on the Saône river, hosted by the Club Aquatique de Parcieux.
The programme included team challenges, a treasure hunt, a picnic by the water, paired discussions… and, above all, a lot of cooperation, mutual support and good humour.
In research, daily life can be demanding: long working days, experiments to follow, deadlines, projects to write, data to interpret, and setbacks to overcome. Taking the time to meet outside the laboratory is therefore truly valuable.
On the water, just like in science, we need to observe, communicate, adapt, correct our course and move forward together.
