Three members of the team were delighted to attend the SMA Europe Congress at Budapest, where patients, families, industry representatives, and scientists come together with a shared goal: advancing research and improving the lives of people living with spinal muscular atrophy.

Phoebe Rassinoux gave an oral presentation on her work exploring the role of SMN in oxidative damage repair.

Lise-Marie Donnio presented a poster on her research investigating the role of SMN in maintaining proper nucleolar organization.
These presentations beautifully illustrate how much remains to be discovered about SMN biology. Each new mechanism we uncover opens new opportunities to better understand the disease and ultimately to develop improved therapeutic strategies for patients.
