Welcoming Gianluca Guida to Lyon!

We are delighted to welcome Gianluca Guida to our team-mari at the Institut NeuroMyogène for a six-month research stay.

Gianluca is currently a PhD student in the laboratory of Donata Orioli at the Istituto di Genetica Molecolare « Luigi Luca Cavalli Sforza » – CNR (IGM-CNR), where he is investigating the molecular mechanisms linking transcription, genome stability and RNA metabolism.

During his stay in Lyon, Gianluca will continue his PhD project focusing on DHX9 and nucleolar homeostasis, combining the expertise of the Orioli and Mari laboratories. His work will contribute to our efforts to better understand how RNA-processing factors coordinate nucleolar function and cellular responses to genotoxic stress.

Scientific exchanges between laboratories are essential for training young researchers and fostering new collaborations, and we are very pleased to have Gianluca with us over the coming months.

Welcome to the team, Gianluca — we look forward to an exciting and productive collaboration!
